About Me
A Little About Me
My love for making things with wood started in my early childhood. I got to know what it meant when someone said, ”what can be made out of wood is limited only by your imagination.” I loved making toys out of wood.
When I was sixteen I started working in my dad’s framing and renovating crew. Next I started working in my dad’s carpenter shop. We made kitchen cabinet doors, wood turnings and stair treads. This was my first introduction to fine woodworking. I loved it right from the start.
In 2002 I moved to the beautiful Annapolis Valley where I married my wonderful wife and started working in a local furniture shop. We made furniture for a few furniture retailers. We also built multiple items for Wheaton’s in Berwick.
In 2006 I started building kitchen cabinets as an employee in my brother-in-law’s shop. Then in 2009 I ventured into my own business by subcontracting for him and some others. Today I am proudly using those experiences to build quality kitchen cabinets for my clients together with my sons.
Even though I love cabinetry this is not my only interest. I love spending time with my family, birding, and outdoor photography. When showing up at a job you may see me pausing for a moment or two simply to enjoy the sound of birds or even taking a few pictures of birds or wildlife nearby.
